If it’s two things my friend will tell you I love, it’s food and comedy. Before this blog, I spent years working in Philly’s local comedy scene, doing anything from serving drinks at the Laff House, to writing and producing original web sketches staring some of Philly’s funniest people on my then blog, It’s Always Funny in Philadelphia.
So it would only make sense that my friends in the comedy scene have invited me to be a guest judge for a new comedy show based on one’s talents for improvisation and gastronomic savvy. Case and point: The Eat Your Beats comedy show from local comedy collective and bringers of awesomely cheap comedy shows, Good Good Comedy.
Any fan of of Who’s Line Is It Anyway? who’s even remotely enthusiastic about food would have a blast at this show, telling by the following clip from their last show….
Eat Your Beats is on Saturday, August 27th at the Plays & Players theater in Center City, located at 1714 Delancy Pl at 10 PM and will be hosted by the very funny Alejandro Morales. I’ll be there guest judging the acts with my friend and fellow Philly Foodie, Sembat Dramgotchian from the very popular Foodie account, @PhillyFoodLove!
